Home Bargains opens new store in Merthyr Tydfil: Up to 40 jobs created as £500,000 invested into new Glamorgan store

Home Bargains is investing approximately £500,000 into a new Merthyr Tydfil store, which will open its doors on Saturday, April 21 at 8.30am.

The top brand, bottom price retailer has brought up to 40 jobs to the area, with its latest store in Pentrebach Retail Park on Pentrebach Road, replacing Jupiter Furniture World. This will be the first Home Bargains to open in Merthyr Tydfil, adding to 33 other stores across Wales, including stores in Cardiff and Tredgar.

With plans to open another 50 stores across the UK in the next twelve months, the discount retailer is bucking current trends on the high street.

The 15,000 sq ft store will give shoppers the chance to get their hands on the latest bargains, including a great selection of homewares.
